JEANNIE'S STORY
Jeannie is an Anmatyerre woman from the Utopia Region and was born in 1957. Jeannie comes from a region well-known for producing painters of exceptional skill including Jeannie's sisters through traditional law: Kathleen and Gloria Petyarre. Jeannie's aunt was the famous painter Emily Kame Kngwarreye.
Jeannie paints stories associated with her family's totem, the Bush Yam. This is a stable food source in the Utopia region of Central Australia.
Painting is stretched and ready to hang and admire.
